Overview
The sensor operates with a laser diode, which projects a visible light spot onto the measurement target. The light reflected from the spot is imaged by an optical receiving system onto a position-sensitive element, if the light spot changes its position, this change is imaged on the receiving element and evaluated.
When operating Micro-Vu vision measuring machine, use laser sensor to perform height measurement, fast focusing and measurement of piece flatness, or edit program to perform automatic measurement. Its main function is to assist vision measuring machine to complete measurement of special dimensions.

Remarks
1. Class 2 Laser Product. Do not stare into beam.
2. The LSM4-10 and LSM4-2 are supported by the Vertex 261, 341, 342, Excel 511, 512, 701, 702, 704 models.
3. SMR=Start of measuring range, MMR=Mid of measuring range, EMR=End of measuring range.
Software
InSpec Metrology software includes the function of laser, which integrates laser and vision system perfectly.
In InSpec software, the use of laser is similar to the use of any vision tools.
